This sub-project aims to contribute to the prevention of gender-based violence (GBV) through increased participation of the local community, especially men, and enhanced quality and access to legal services for the community and at-risk groups. In cooperation with partner organizations, the implementing partner will deliver training to peer paralegals (youth and adolescent boys) on domestic violence and GBV, organize thematic debates, talk shows and discussion fora, as well as establish a network of male activists with the aim to spread awareness of gender, gender stereotypes and domestic violence among the local community. The implementing partner will also provide legal and health services to communities living in remote areas and deliver a training to doctors and medical workers of provincial family medical centers on psychological support to victims of violence. Ultimately, Sain Tus Tuv, Uvs, will liaise with decision-makers on the issue of preventing GBV and the importance of enabling the use of gender-based statistics in policy planning.
