IDLO Annual Report 2023
This year marks IDLO’s 40th anniversary. The organization has evolved from a judicial training institute to the only global intergovernmental organization exclusively devoted to promoting the rule of law to advance peace and sustainable development. With 38 Member Parties, and more than 400 staff working currently in 40 countries, we are active in all regions, engaging with multiple legal systems to strengthen institutions and increase access to justice.
The year 2023, like the ones that preceded it, has been a tough test for the rule of law, justice and human rights across the globe. This demanding external environment has reinforced the relevance of IDLO’s mandate and underscored the importance of the organization’s work.
Our report offers a tangible demonstration of the results achieved, despite the increasingly challenging global context.
