The sub-project sought to strengthen collaboration and coordination among key national stakeholders in advocating for healthy diets and physical activity promotion through policy and legal reforms. Working closely with the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Education, other civil society partners and local stakeholders and the media, the Tanzania Women Lawyers Association (TAWLA) established and provided technical support to the working group on non-communicable diseases to coordinate stakeholders’ interventions on healthy diets and physical activity, including rights-based and gender-sensitive advocacy, in order to raise awareness on the sub-project area of intervention.
