The Philippines’ Office of the Ombudsman commemorated its 30 years of existence during a Joint Forum with IDLO in Manila on May 8, 2018. The Forum occurred as IDLO celebrates its 30th anniversary as an intergovernmental organization this year, marking a mutually significant occasion for both institutions. 

Kyrgyzstan’s Ministry of Education has endorsed IDLO-supported mock court courses, expanding the pioneering curricula to law schools throughout the country.

IDLO has been working in Afghanistan since 2002 to strengthen access to justice, uphold human rights, expand legal capacity and promote local ownership.

Bucharest, April 23, 2018 – A new program in Romania will help the country improve its investment climate by building judicial capacity in commercial cases and increasing the uniformity of judicial practice.

Following the adoption of a new Constitution in Kenya in 2010, its implementation has seen significant improvements in the promotion and protection of human rights, gender equality and access to justice. Nonetheless, sustainable development of the country and strengthened public confidence in the judiciary continue to be key priorities requiring ongoing reforms.
